It's good to be a student! Firstly because you finally feel free. I speak, of course, for those who are not University in their city, and who are forced to leave their family to live in the city where their faculty: more tips to receive more bans, more explanations to give. I can spend the whole night to chat with friends, then sleep until noon the next day, and nobody tells me nothing. Do not believe that I spend my life in cafes or nightclubs! I have too much work, and it is not because I'm free that I do nothing. On the contrary! Only there's a big difference: when I was in high school, it almost forced me to work, and then, of course, I didn't want to. Now, nobody can force me to do so. Only punish my work. My days, my quarter, I am free to organize as I want. I can go to the cinema every day for a week, not to touch a book, shut myself in my room and "pyre" like crazy to make up for lost time. It is wonderful to be free! Free to attend courses or do not go there. Only practical works are mandatory and controlled because we work in small groups. I like the practical work: I have missed only once since the beginning of the year. Courses, I missed them fairly often during the first quarter, but not after. Because it is difficult and annoying to copy the notes to cronies and it is better to work regularly that bonfire night and day 15 days prior to the examination. Now I think I really know what it is that freedom: it is also the responsibility. As the material life of students is well organized, we have free time. No problems for the meal: the University restaurants serve us for moderate prices. No problems for transport: we have special rates. No problems for the performances: concert, film, theatre, museums, everywhere, there are rates for students. We can even travel, skiing, go abroad at attractive prices. As you can see, we have privileges. But be careful! Do not think that everything is for the best in the best of worlds! There is still the problem of housing. Where to find a House not too far from the fac and not too expensive? A few have the chance to live the Cité universitaire or find a place in one of the many houses of students in the city. Others often very expensive parts small, poorly furnished, pay little or not heated. Fortunately, there are cafes, always welcoming: in winter it is warm; in summer, it is well to the terrace under the trees. It is there that we find ourselves after the course. It is understood with the boys, for the price of a black coffee or a glass of beer, we pou-vons spend two hours smoking and discuss: two hours to remake the world, this is not much! We have all the ideas, but need to agree, and this is not easy!
